ANTIQUITIES AROUND THE CASTLE
PROMOTION OF THE TOWN'S CULTURAL HERITAGE AND ANTIQUITIES AND MAKING USE OF THE BUILDINGS THAT ARE HISTORICAL OR TRADITIONAL AS WELL AS OTHER POINTS OF REFERENCE FOR THE TOWN.
Following excavations by the Department of Antiquities, in two places the remains of buildings at a lower level were revealed and preserved. Moreover, traces of earlier buildings in the area were restored and raised to the present level of the square.
