Traffic Wardens Department

Traffic Wardens’ main objective is the improvement of road safety and the control of illegal parking according to the Highway Code. The offenses for which a fine may be imposed are set out in the Municipalities Law and the Compounding of Road Traffic Offenses Laws of 1997 to 2010, as amended. A ticket shall be issued for each fine stating the type of code violation, the amount of the fine and the place of payment. The fine can be settled at the Cash Desk of the Limassol Municipality within thirty (30) days of its date of issue.

Upon payment, please fill in the reference number indicated on the fine accompanied by the registration plate number of your vehicle. (e.g. 99999999HHH000)

If the fine is not settled within fifteen (15) days from the date of issue, then the fine is increased by half the amount of the initial fine and can be settled within fifteen (15) days following the increase.  

Legal action will be taken if the fine and the additional charge are not settled within thirty (30) days of the date of issue.
