Night Stringed Instrumental
Orchestra from Patras.
This special Orchestra from Patras, which has occasionally wrung excellent
critics, has until now given more than fifty concerts both in Greece
and abroad. The Orchestra gives two different performances: in the
first evening, a performance of pre classic musical sounds playing
that is : Vivaldi, Roeser, Scarlatti and also modern composers' plays
for mixed stringed instruments like Streichardt, Kretschmar and Kowahara;
in the second evening film music playing and songs of Mikis Theodorakis,
Manos Hadjidakis, interpreted by Elli Paspalla and the actor, Yiannos
Bezos.
"Endless Train"
by Vassos Argyrides
Two unpublished records with sets of songs by Vassos Argyrides attract
mostly the interest of the public, that is: "Seven Night Verses"
by Odysseus Elytis and the play "Even if he lets out sighs"
by Dionisis Karatzas. Vassilis Lekkas, one of the collaborators mostly
close to the unforgettable Manos Hadjidakis and yet very few interpreters
of the qualitative song in Greece, interpret it. At the concert, Vassos
Argyrides should also play his music from the films: "The slaughter
of the coq" and "When time was cut".
OSSIPOV (AN ORCHESTRA
OF TRADITIONAL ORGANS (BALALAIKAS)
SAINT PETERSBURG VIRTUOSI
The program comprises plays of Mozart, Vivaldi, Tchaikofski and Manos
Hatjidakis, the great Greek composer.
Musical Director: Mikhail Gantvarg.
Mikhail Gantvarg set up the soloists' Orchestra from Saint Petersburg.
Critics recorded very soon that the technique was excellent, the music
accurate and the appearance especially impressive. The Orchestra is
composed of imminent soloists, musicians being graduates of the famous
Rimsky Conservatorium - Korsakov of Saint Petersburg.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT
WITH THE WIND INSTRUMENTS OF THE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA OF VIENNA
The program comprises Strauss,
Suppe, Kliment, Smhmid, Komzak and Springer's plays.
The Wind Instrumental Orchestra of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
is composed of 36 distinguished musicians aging from 17 to 27 and
was set up by the famous Karl Yalter in 1989. Karl Yalter is one of
the renowned artists of the famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and
one of the musicians of the Vienna Opera State Orchestra. He decided
to set up the Wind Instrumental Orchestra to ensure the tradition,
which has its roots in the Austrian - Hungarian Monarchy, being respected.
The program of the Orchestra includes, firstly, plays of Viennese
composers like the Strauss family, Ziehnrer and Suppe but also of
other Austrian composers.

VIVALDI ORCHESTRA
The Vivaldi Orchestra was set up in 1988 by Svetlana Bexrodnaya, a
violin teacher, at the Moscow Conservatorium and is composed of 20
young women.
The Orchestra owes its name to the story according to which Vivaldi
set up an Orchestra, composed of the orphans from the "Venice
House of Orphan Girls". The Orchestra interprets, apart from
Vivaldi's, compositions of other musicians too, like Mozart's, Rossini's
and Tchaikofsky's.
CAMERATA ORCHESTRA OF
THE FRIENDS OF MUSIC FROM ATHENS MANSION

The program consists of Respighi's plays (suite 3), Grieg Hoberg (suite)
and Beethoven (quartet, 135 play)
The Camerata was set up in 1991 under the initiative of the club "The
friends of Music". The activities of the Orchestra, based on
the Mansion Music, are diffused all over the country and even beyond
its frontiers. It is composed of 33 musicians playing stringed instruments
and is a passionate supporter of a repertoire, which is 400 old. The
Camerata has a remarkable play to show until today, which has repeatedly
been praised in the Press.
