LEVEL + 118,10
This main level takes its shape from a flat
semi-circular sport “square” upon which the petals of the North and
South tiers rely like independent elements. The 4 canteens, the 4
fire exit stairs, the sanitary facilities under the tiers as well as
the exits away from the entrances at the 4 corners of this level are
located for an easy, quick and special rival teams’ spectators’
dispersal.

-
Two specific entrances at the south and north
side for a possible separation of the funs of the two opponent teams
with the use of turnstiles to be linked in the future with the
ticketing system; they may also serve 6000 spectators within the
required venue deadlines. The access is independent in relation to
the journalists’ and the VIPs’ moving about.
-
The journalists enter from a separate independent
entrance to the east of the south main entrance with a direct access
to the Press Centre while the access to the other levels is ensured
by lift and via a closed stairway.
-
The VIPs use another separate independent
entrance to the west of the south entrance via an open stairway from
their arrival at a reception hall. The access to both the VIPs’
level + 121,96 and the other levels is made possible by lift as an
alternative solution.
The main south entrance has a three-storey
atrium; on both sides there are: the Press Centre, the Offices, the
Exhibition room and the VIPs’ reception room; there is above them
the VIPs’ level and even above it there is the mass media level. A
wavy roof covers and shades the atrium.
The position of the cafeteria is an ideal one to
offer a clear view to the west of the tree planted hills and at the
same time an undisturbed view to the big Internal Gymnasium.
The position of the exhibition space and the
press centre sideways the main entrance generates the possibility
that these rooms may function as an independent unity out of
competition for conference and cultural events purposes having their
entrances.
